About The White Oak Manor Wedding Venue

15320 Boydton Plank Road, Dinwiddie, Virginia 23841

Located in scenic Dinwiddie, Virginia, White Oak Manor is a darling venue with over a century of history. The estate at the heart of the venue was built in 1911. For years, it served as a lively family home amidst the surrounding 52 acres. Around 2020, it was completely abandoned and sat dormant until February of 2022, when Alex and Paige Christopher decided to revive it. The couple went to work creating a space where others could find their storybook endings. Today, the venue offers the original house as well as a barn, a gazebo, and a chapel. No matter what you want for your wedding day, this venue has the perfect spot for you!

Details of the Grounds

White Oak Manor is a versatile place that is going to give you tons of options for your ceremony. For those who prefer an outdoor wedding, the gazebo area is going to be the spot for you. The gazebo is massive, providing shade for the entirety of your wedding party. The property’s picturesque pond will serve as your backdrop while you exchange vows. If you would prefer an indoor space, you can use The Chapel. While this is a newer addition, the space is styled to look traditional with gothic arched stained glass and wooden raftered ceilings. And if you want something rustic, The Barn is going to be your spot. This space is anything but simple, giving you crystal chandeliers,  tall, raftered ceilings, and white walls you can transform with your decorations.

The Chapel is your spot for more intimate ceremonies with enough seating for up to 100 people. Meanwhile, The Barn is going to let you host up to 300 friends and family!

Once your ceremony is over, it’s time to head over to your reception. Most couples choose to have this portion in The Barn, using the open space for hours of dancing. This space has been set up to be the ideal space for unforgettable celebrations! There is a bar at the back where your guests can order drinks. You will have enough room to accommodate a DJ or a live band. For a smaller reception, you can speak to the venue about utilizing the outdoor fireplace. With this option, you can place your tables on the lawn and reserve the paved space for dancing.

White Oak Manor Cocktail Hour And Beyond

If you are hosting a cocktail hour, why not throw it at the outdoor fireplace? This paved patio is lit up by bistro lights and overlooks the entire area so your guests can have drinks with a view. If you would prefer a covered space, I would suggest setting up a bar on the front porch of The Barn.

The venue lets you incorporate the Manor House while you are getting ready. Seriously, they have constructed a space where you can do everything in style! The rooms are brightly lit and feature salon chairs where you can sip some bubbly and put on all the finishing touches. The venue also gives you access to an on-site cabin. This is going to serve as the best spot for the groom to get ready before the ceremony.

The venue is going to span across styles to serve as a magical spot for your wedding day. The owners were clever in their use of accents. The color palettes in each spot are neutral, so your wedding colors will pop. The walls in all of the buildings are white, while the floors are stained dark wood or polished concrete. Over in the Chapel, your guests will sit in pews while you exchange vows beneath a sparkling chandelier. Out in the Gazebo area, your guests will be on paved ground while you exchange vows with nothing but the countryside behind you. The Barn has a built-in bar so your guests can have drinks all night long.

Photography Opportunities

As you plan your White Oak Manor wedding portraits, you are going to have the gorgeous Dinwiddie surroundings at your disposal. The towering Manor House will serve as your backdrop for couple portraits as well as group pictures. The interior of the house is brightly lit for your get-ready portraits. Once it is time for your first look portraits, I would recommend making your way to the back porch. This is going to give you a naturally-lit space to see your partner and share an intimate moment together.

Wedding Details

White Oak Manor is going to give you everything you need to throw your dream wedding. They are pet-friendly, so you can include every member of the family. They are going to provide you with chairs, linens, and tables. For food, they let you bring in outside caterers so you can build the ideal menu. On the day of your wedding, the venue is going to take care of the set-up. Your guests will be able to park at the venue. If you aren’t sure this is the venue for you, you will get the chance to schedule a tour. Just be sure to schedule it soon since this is quickly becoming one of the top wedding venues around!
